Cosmos Hotel Group and T1 became the winners of the 1C competition:Project of the Year"

1C company summed up the results of the annual international competition of the best corporate projects on automation of management and accounting "1C:Project of the Year". Thus, the case of Cosmos Hotel Group, the largest hotel operator in Russia, and T1 Holding was recognized as the best industry project of 2024 in the category of tourism and hotel business.

In February 2024, Cosmos Hotel Group, which operates 36 hotels in 22 cities, completely switched to domestic software in terms of a centralized and unified financial management system based on 1C:Management of the Holding Company". The project was implemented by the IT team of the hotel operator together with specialists from the Russian integrator T1 Holding, who were responsible for the technical integration and configuration of 1C systems.

A cross-functional team consisting of business representatives and IT specialists implemented the solution in a short time. In October 2023, survey and design work began, and from January 1, 2024, the system has already been put into pilot operation. As a result of the transition to Russian software, 50 legal entities were connected to the unified information system: operating hotels, facilities under construction and other legal entities of the company.

In particular, treasury operations were centralized to control the expenditure of funds, regulated accounting was unified in accordance with uniform accounting policy standards, and budgeting and management reporting functionality for a group of companies was introduced in a single format.

"Cosmos Hotel Group is actively expanding its geographical presence. In the last year alone, the company's room stock has doubled to almost 10,000 units, and in the future it will grow by several thousand more rooms in 2-5 years. Therefore, it is extremely important for us to digitalize management processes based on Russian software, including automation of the group's financial flow management. As a result, the implementation of all financial processes on one 1C platform has significantly improved the efficiency of staff, reduced time for daily duties and optimized business processes within the group," commented Maria Ryazanova, Vice President of Economics and Finance at Cosmos Hotel Group.

"This project is one of the key ones in the digitalization strategy of the group of companies. It serves as the foundation for the Digital Hotel project program, which we launched this year. And also, our new ERP system is the basis for further development of Data Governance and business intelligence tools. "The real challenge for our team was the implementation of 1C: Management of Holding 8 in the shortest possible time. The task was complicated by the scale of the project: the facilities that needed to be connected to the system are located in more than 20 cities of Russia - from St. Petersburg to Ulan-Ude. Combining geographically disparate customer servers into a single network has become an extremely resource-intensive process, not only from a technical but also from an organizational point of view. Cosmos Hotel Group is the largest hotel operator in Russia, whose brand was created in 2018. The company's portfolio includes 36 hotels exclusively of categories from 3* (city hotels) to 5* (premium hotels, including resort complexes) in 22 cities of Russia. By the end of 2023, the revenue of Cosmos Hotel Group showed an increase of 2.4 times to 12 billion rubles against the background of a twofold increase in the number of rooms, the OIBDA indicator increased 3.8 times compared to a year earlier - to 4.1 billion rubles.
