Classified hotels are a new factor in the growth of the regional economy, and the development of domestic tourism is a driver for large federal companies and local businesses. Alexander Biba, President of Cosmos Hotel Group, told about this in an interview with Forbes.

The head of Russia's largest hotel operator noted that Cosmos Hotel Group plans to continue increasing the quality of the room stock. He stressed that the opening of hotels in the regions is becoming an impulse to expand public spaces.

Now and in the next few years, there are all the prerequisites for the active growth of the hotel business as a whole — the domestic tourist flow is growing faster than the room stock. There are measures of support from the government: subsidizing the loan rate, various tax benefits, etc. The regions are actively helping them, as there is a huge need for hotel infrastructure for the development of cities and territories. The government made the right and timely decision, which, without a doubt, provided support to the Russian tourism industry.
