Dancing House offers to view the dance with a different, "special" look. 15 years ago, no one believed that children with Down syndrome would perform, that teenagers with autism would ever take the stage. Only one person believed in such a project. After 15 years, Dancing House under the leadership of Sergey Fursov has become the largest inclusive group in Russia, in which more than 180 children with Down syndrome, autism and other developmental features are engaged.

Oksana Rebrik, Vice President for Development in Cosmos HG:

"Participation in socially significant projects and support for people with special needs constitute one of the important components of the work of Cosmos Hotel Group. We pay great attention to such guests, we try to make their stay in our hotels as comfortable as possible. Therefore, it is a great honour for us to participate and organise projects that are aimed at supporting children with special needs. Such initiatives contribute to a very important stage in their life, namely their socialisation."

Dancing House Inclusive Creativity School unites more than 180 families from Moscow and Moscow Region. Its pupils are children with special needs (with Down syndrome and autism) from 2.5 years old and their "ordinary" peers. For children, training is organised "from the ground up": there is no special selection – everyone is trained, regardless of the diagnosis, level of training and skills. The kids dance, draw, do gymnastics and sand therapy.

The ensemble of the School has been successfully performing at various venues for many years, it is known not only in Russia, but also abroad. Bright, interesting dances are presented on the stage, each of them having its own story, always unique and unexpected. Their performances delight the audience, each dance is marked by many awards from various competitions and festivals. The Dancing House team:

  • has repeatedly participated in Moscow International Cultural Forum;
  • became the first and only inclusive group in Russia the performing artists of which came to the stage of Maly Academic Theatre and took part in the choreographic performance "Theatrical Tales of Ilse Liepa" together with the leading dancing groups of the country;
  • received recognition at the international festival of professional choreographic groups in Bulgaria in 2018. The same experience was repeated by the group in 2019, when it took one of the prizes on a par with ordinary groups;
  • conducts extensive educational work, participates in charitable actions and events, tours Russia and abroad.
