The Cosmos Collection hotel complex with thermal springs will appear in Kamchatka

During the IX Eastern Economic Forum, it was decided to build a new comfortable hotel complex Cosmos Collection Kamchatka in Kamchatka. A corresponding cooperation agreement was signed between the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic and Sistema LLC, a subsidiary of AFK Sistema, which implements promising projects in Siberia. The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexey Chekunkov.

A unique hotel complex with 231 rooms will be built in the Yelizovsky district of the Kamchatka Territory in the territory of advanced development "Kamchatka". The planned volume of investments is over 11 billion rubles. It is expected that the facility will be put into operation by 2028.

"Tourism development programs and projects implemented in the Kamchatka Territory are aimed at modernizing and building new infrastructure, improving the quality of the sphere and, in general, creating a new image of the region. Kamchatka has unique natural and climatic conditions, which are the main magnet for tourists. This is one of the most unique places in the world in its beauty and can easily compete with many European mountain and seaside resorts. But at the same time, due to the lack of infrastructure, active tourism in Kamchatka is still difficult. Our most important task is to create the most comfortable working conditions for investors in the region, which will allow them to realize the most daring ideas in the field of tourism," said Nikolai Zapryagaev, CEO of KRDV.

Within the framework of the Cosmos Collection Kamchatka project, in addition to hotel rooms, individual cottages and duplexes, a multifunctional event center and a spa complex, as well as a balneological center with thermal water, will be built. The total area of the territory exceeds 250 hectares.

A landscaping project is being carefully worked out – landscaping, pedestrian sidewalks and bike paths, outdoor playgrounds for sports, a flat parking lot and even a parking lot for electric cars. A helipad is provided for special guests. The main principle of the authors of the project is to preserve the beauty of nature and ensure the comfort of vacationers.

Alexander Shveyn, CEO of Sistema Siberia LLC, said: "Kamchatka is a unique region that attracts more and more tourists all year round. Despite the significant growth of domestic tourism and consistently high interest in the Kamchatka Territory, we are seeing a shortage of accommodation facilities in this region. A high–quality classified room stock is a new factor in the growth of the regional economy, infrastructure development, creation of new jobs, tourist routes and related projects."

Following the results of the project, the investor undertakes to provide at least 340 new jobs for residents of Kamchatka.
