On May 18-19, the strategic session "Earth. People. Projects", which brought together about 100 representatives of government, the tourism industry, the hotel industry, the restaurant sector, local manufacturers, the media and experts.

The event was held with the support and participation of Cosmos Hotel Group, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania, the Caucasus.The Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Travel Industry.

At the center of the discussion:

• development of tourist infrastructure
• gastronomic and event tourism
• promotion of the region
• personnel training
• creating new points of attraction

Special attention was paid to the transition from "raw" tourism to the industry of impressions and the role of local communities.

As part of the project work, the participants formed proposals in five areas:

• travel magnets
• marketing
• positioning and structure of the tourism
• industry gastropotential
• event and business tourism

Following the meeting, a practical plan for the development of the region's tourism potential will be prepared, from the launch of new projects to promotion at the federal level.
